A securities class action has been filed against Calamos Convertible and High Income Fund (CHY) (the "Fund") on behalf of all securities purchasers from March 19, 2008 through the present ("Class Period"), in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
The complaint alleges that (i) the individual defendants breached their fiduciary duty; (ii) Calamos Convertible and High Income Fund (the "Fund"), Calamos Asset Management, Inc., and Calamos Advisors, LLC (collectively, the "Calamos Defendants") aided and abetted the individual defendants' breaches of fiduciary duty; and (iii) the Calamos Defendants unjustly enriched themselves in connection with the redemption of auction rate preferred securities by the Fund following the collapse of auction markets in February 2008.
