CASES

COACH, INC.

Class Period: Jan 23, 2007 to Oct 22, 2007
Lead Plaintiff Deadline: Jun 15, 2009 + Deadline passed

Summary of Case: A securities class action has been filed against Coach, Inc. (Ticker: COH) ("Coach" or the "Company") on behalf of all common stock securities purchasers from January 23, 2007 through October 22, 2007 (Class Period) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The Complaint alleges that during the Class Period, defendants reported strong growth for Coach and forecast similar growth going forward. However, defendants failed to disclose that the Company's growth rate was, in fact, unsustainable. Then, on October 23, 2007, before the market opened, Coach announced that although its fiscal first-quarter profit rose 23%, traffic in its U.S. retail stores was weak and the Company expected a slow-down in the coming holiday season. As a result of this announcement, Coach's stock price dropped $4.87 per share (or 12%) to close at $36.60 per share on October 23, 2007.
